Valerie was having migraines days pretty much every day by the time she found us at MHRPA. Like many migraines today, her doctors explained to her that botox was an option. She pursued that option for a couple of years and eventually the botox was ineffective for the daily migraines. Her migraine days were tolerable, and then they weren’t.
Migraine days per month: 15 to 18. Episode length: hours to days. Valerie has intractable migraine pain with status migrainous.
Life changing. Valerie is not about to get through most days with no pain at all. However, when pain or tension do manifest she can manage it easily with tylenol. Huge turnaround!
